Swedish Industry has long enjoyed a worldwide reputation for advanced products and technical capacity, focused on extremely high standard of quality control in production and impeccable after-sales service.This also applies to the aviation sector, in which Swedish skills and supply capability are highly rated in the world. Considerable background experience was gained during the comprehensive expansion of Swedish aviation and corresponding new airport facilities, aimed at providing a competitive and efficient air-transport system.


Part of this expansion may be explained by Sweden's overall economic growth, but a much larger portion is attributable to product adaptation and changes in available services, such as new aircraft, new routes and extended regional air services. Many Swedish suppliers of consultancy services and equipment have already succeeded in penetrating a fastgrowing world market. There is, indeed, a sizeable global market for Swedish specialities - mainly airport and air-navigation projects, training, maintenance and the provision of aircraft and aircraft components. This is the background to the founding of the Swedish Aviation Group, a goverment sponsored umbrella organisation for the application of Swedish know-how and technology to aviation projects.
