Container Drayage
AMEX Transport operates under DOT authority (MC 449167). Interchange agreements are with all the steamship lines and rail carriers. Full container drayage rates are based on mileage from the port and are the same, regardless of the full container size.

Loose Freight
Loose freight rates are based on the combination of weight and mileage from the port. Large as well as small bobtails are available to handle any loose freight shipment.

Overweight Loads
AMEX Transport can transport overweight 20' containers up to 42,000 lbs. net cargo weight from the port directly to the importer-exporter. Our special 3-axle chassis have a sliding wheelbase adjustment that conforms to DOT requirements. The container sits flush to the rear allowing normal dock plate access while loading or unloading. You won't need to take chances being responsible for an overweight ticket or worse. AMEX can transport your import or export containers legally and safely.

Bonded Moves
AMEX Transport is a U.S. Customs Bonded Carrier, bond # for the port of Houston.
