Bridge Terminal Transport.

The North American Trucking Group started operations in 1982 out of the Newark terminal under the name Maersk Container Service Company. Operations in Baltimore and Charleston followed in 1983, and the name Bridge Terminal Transport was adopted for the new company. In 1984, the West Coast operation began under the name Pacific Rim Transport, Inc.. The North American Trucking Group then had 48 state operating authorities. In January 2005, PRTI merged with BTT, and both now operate under the name Brige Terminal Transport, Inc.

BTT's terminals and owner-operator fleet make our trucking group the largest marine container hauler in the United States, covering all major port locations and inland rail sites. Our operations stretch from Vancouver to Jacksonville, Boston to San Bernardino, and Detroit to Laredo. We have a fleet of over 2,900 contracted owner-operators.

Our locations range up to thirty acres in size to accommodate our modern container yards (CY), where we store containers, chassis and trailers for customers. At each CY, we offer services including security, equipment inspection, maintenance and lift capabilities. The CY business complements our trucking operations and adds value for our customers. Our fleet of specialized chassis has grown. In 1999 we had over 800 chassis which included Super Sliders, Tank-Chassis, Tri-Axles, 8-Pins, 12-Pins, Drop Decks, 53ft. Drop Decks, etc.

In the trucking industry, we always think safety. Our drivers' qualifications exceed Department of Transportation requirements. Our drivers are on the road daily in all types of traffic and weather conditions, and handled over 1.5 million moves in 2005. We maintain all required records and value our excellent safety record, and our safety ratings are published and on file for all to see.

Our commitment to service is demonstrated by the professional standards of our employees and a dedicated group of owner-operators.
