Welcome to BTI Special Commodities, Inc. located in Des Moines, IA. Being founded in 1988 as a small dry van carrier BTI's growth led to the establishment of a 48 state
flatbed carrier division. The company is now comprised of 120 trucks of which 80 are company owned.

Being a 48 state flatbed carrier, our trailers are fully equipped to handle cargo ranging from lumber to steel and over dimensional products. The dry van division primarily delivers between points in the Midwest and the Eastern and Southeastern parts of the country utilizing 53’ air ride trailers.

The Iowa Motor Truck Association has bestowed many honors on BTI for our outstanding safety record. These include winning the “Iowa Flatbed Trucking” award for carriers of our size as well as Grand Champion twice in the past 5 years.

Shippers rely on BTI for safe on time delivery of their product at a fair market price, insuring their customer’s satisfaction. Realizing that service is a priority, BTI’s commitment to our shippers is long termed. Unlike your current flatbed trucking company, BTI will never broker your freight.
