Our China practice group was established in 2001. Building on our existing substantial experience of assisting major international corporations to complete transactions in China, the China practice group confirms our commitment to a country whose economic importance is expanding on both a regional and worldwide scale. With China’s accession to the WTO and the business opportunities created from Beijing’s successful bid for the 2008 Olympics, we possess both the experience and local knowledge to assist the foreign business community with its activities in the PRC.
In Beijing we have an established team of lawyers, some of whom were among the first to practise in this market and all of whom have considerable experience in the PRC. The team advises international clients across a broad range of industries and in particular has dealt with infrastructure projects, foreign direct investment, international recovery, tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and arbitration.
The team in Beijing works closely with our offices located in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Bangkok and with our associate office in Jakarta. The team also has close ties with the London and Paris offices. |
