WBM was formed in 1969 as a partnership of three engineers with a vision of undertaking leading edge consulting activities in measurement and computational analysis of difficult and unusual problems in mechanical and maritime engineering and environmental hydraulics. Now with nearly 150 staff, the company has evolved a strong business culture based on the specialist expertise and enjoyment of its professional engineers and scientists in providing solutions of high quality and value.

As the company has grown, it has diversified in a range of niche market areas including:

trouble-shooting and design audits for major plant and equipment used in mining, power generation, transport and port operations;
aeronautical engineering, in association with university research groups;
analysis and design of ships and boats;
environmental engineering and sciences.
Based initially in Brisbane, WBM has expanded its presence world-wide to locations close to its key market and client sectors to ensure delivery of optimum service and provide personal and professional opportunities for staff.
