Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd is the UK's most reliable bulk rail freight operator, constantly achieving over 99% reliability. It began operating in 1999 as a separate division of Freightliner Ltd with its own staff and resources committed to the provision of customer-focused rail solutions to the non-containerised cargo market. Today, Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd operates in the aggregate, petrochemical, cement, coal, cars and waste markets and undertakes rail infrastructure work for Network Rail.
It became Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd in April 2001 and now operates nearly 1,000 trains per week.
By providing committed assets (COMAS), customers are offered certainty and security of supply using bespoke services. For a contracted term, dedicated locomotives, wagons and personnel are committed to each customer, in markets as diverse as waste, building materials, coal, automotive and rail services.
Each contract is tailored to suit individual customer requirements for rail based transport solutions.
