Silverlink Trains

Silverlink continue to invest in all aspects of our service to customers. Silverlink, in a partnership with HSBC, are investing £13 million in a mid-life mechanical and electrical overhaul of the County fleet to improve reliability. This will also include an interior refurbishment programme that will provide our customers with a more comfortable travel environment. Other train refurbishment programmes are continuing on the Metro route.

We are also investing in the facilities available along our route. We are providing lifts, refurbished toilets and better customer service at our new station at Willesden Junction. The customer lounge and information point is open at Northampton station, providing a comfortable waiting environment. A new station is emerging at Stonebridge Park and improvement work is being carried out at other stations.

Other improvements include the continuing installation of CCTV and ticket gates across Silverlink, helping to improve security, and improved Customer Information Screens at certain stations.
