Polish Railways

PKP Group means the company PKP, Joint Stock Company (PKP, JSC) and 106 companies including 35 companies, in which PKP, JSC has 100% voices on partners' assemblies or general assemblies.
The core of PKP, JSC is constituted by operating companies that provide services on
passenger transport market ( PKP Intercity Sp. z o. o., PKP Przewozy Regionalne Sp. z o. o., PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska Sp. z o. o., PKP Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa Sp. z o. o. ),
freight transport market ( PKP Cargo S.A., PKP Linia Hutnicza Szerokotorowa Sp. z o. o. )
and also by the companies connected with rail infrastructure ( PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., PKP Energetyka Sp. z o. o., Telekomunikacja Kolejowa Sp. z o. o., PKP Informatyka Sp. z o.o.).
Most of them were separated by the mother company PKP, JSC based on the Act of 8 September 2000 "On commercialisation, restructuring and privatisation of the state-owned enterprise Polish State Railways". Three companies started to run their business on the basis of a concession issued by Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy, namely: LHS, WKD and SKM.
