We are GSG Cargo Ltd, a privately owned Freight Forwarder based in Worthing, West Sussex. Our core values are based on customer service. We aim to take the pressure off our clients shipping responsibilities allowing them to dedicate their time to doing what they do best – manufacturing and selling their products.

Our History

The GSG trademark was originally penned to cover a group of companies. The three owners Philip Gamble (G), Stuart Spicer (S) and Mark Goodrum (G) initially created and registered GSG Technologies Ltd back in March 2000 as an internet based company following the dot com boom. Spin-offs quickly followed:- GSG Meuso – a web based promotional company for unsigned bands; GSG Thespo – a web based audition company; a couple of mail-order companies and finally GSG Cargo.

Originally named GSG Technologies Ltd t/a GSG Cargo, the company began trading on 20th August 2001 from a small office in Nowhurst Lane, Broadbridge Heath rented from a part of the Gamble plant hire company. Immediately the company turned a profit and for the first quarter showed promising signs.

Following a meeting with the company’s accountant, Morris Palmer Day & Vann, the two dormant directors – Philip Gamble and Mark Goodrum resigned leaving Stuart Spicer with 100% ownership. The Company changed name to GSG Cargo Ltd and on 19th December 2001 the Company relocated to Worthing, trading out of Stuart Spicer’s home initially as a temporary measure. However due to the success of the company and its location within Worthing the Company remained at this address until 18th September 2003. By this time the Company had grown considerably and therefore moved into a 1,115sq ft unit on Ham Bridge Trading Estate, Worthing where it currently operates from.

GSG Cargo Ltd is now looking forward to the future. The Company is still young, it is still eager and is always looking to expand in new directions. Currently the Company is actively seeking to employ new personnel on both a sales and operational front and is undertaking an aggressive marketing campaign whilst re-investing in the Company to support continued growth.
