First Team Transport Group, founded by Garry Smith, CEO in 1977 as a dedicated logistics organization for a Fortune 500 document imaging company. It remains to this day a privately owned, Canadian company with headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.

First Team's primary focus is to provide High-Value (HVP) Transportation services for sensitive cargo throughout Canada along with dedicated, Contract Transportation and Freight Management solutions.

First Team's core business is the delivery and handling of all types of high-value products (HVP). It is the foundation upon which First Team was built, over 29 years ago. Today in our high-value division, we move photocopiers, medical systems, banking (ATM) machines, HVAC systems, printing and photo labs to mention just a few. This service has grown to cover the entire country through our network of First Team partners.
