Creative Logistics was formed in 1991 as an express courier and light transport business. The Company grew steadily in this sector and developed general rapid transport services, providing National distribution to a wide range of clients.

The Company had had established a strong trading relationship with the rapidly growing Mottram Group Plc, a leading extruder of uPVC and associated products. In 1997, the Company was acquired by the £100m turnover, Mottram Group PLC to become the Group Logistics Business serving both in-house and third party customers. The Mottram Group was acquired by Heywood Williams PLC in 1999, and the then Chairman of Motram chose to take the business back into Private ownership.

At the same time the Company had been undertaking a major strategic review, and had identified strong interest in rail based logistics in the North West of England. A redundant yet purpose-built site was identified in Salford. The Company demonstrated its commitment to this strategic goal with the purchase of this facility in 1999. Following the transfer of operations and the refurbishment of the Rail connection the site was re-opened in 2000 by the Mayor of Salford as the Manchester Rail Transit Centre. From the Centre the Company now operates a range of Conventional and Rail based Logistics Services, for a customer base that includes many household names.

The Company has a wide and varied range of Logistics skills and experience, gained both within highly competitive manufacturing and retail environments. This extensive knowledge of supply chains genuinely enables the Company to provide "Inspired Solutions".
