Tow Hooks are capable of being quick and simple to both hitch and unhitch by only one man. Its operation is much closer to that of normal tractor trailer operations. Through this unique design, proper weight distribution is achieved by directing the weight to the road, which helps maintain normal steering conditions. This is much different than standard towing rigs that tend to have a lighter front end while under towing operations. The turning radius of a complete rig using the Tow Hook is significantly advanced allowing an operator to make ninety-degree turns with ease. In addition, it does not require the removal of lights, bumpers, or other parts of the disabled tractor. The entire operation is hydraulic and requires no heavy manual work on the operators part. Tow Hooks are used on the 5th wheel to tow truck tractors.
