Heritage Afloat was set up in 1993 to give a national voice to all those who are helping to preserve ships and all other aspects of Britain's maritime past.
The UK has a unique maritime heritage but much of it is at risk with rising costs, new and difficult legislation and the loss of skills and traditions.
Heritage Afloat has a wide mix of membership from large societies such as The Old Gaffers Association to small trusts and we welcome individuals as personal members whether they own a historic craft or not.
