Transport Management Consultants Limited (TMC) is a firm of consultants specialising in transport problems from the analysis of tachograph charts to complex full accident reconstruction reports. TMC was formed in September 1999 with a view to their staff providing a unique and expert service to the road transport industry, passenger and haulage, as well as to the legal profession. This service extends to a range of contentious matters, civil and criminal, involving all classes of road vehicles including cars and motor cycles.
TMC has over the past 12 months dealt with 85 separate instructions; from this only two defendants were found guilty as charged. We have also formally instructed barristers, since the award of ’Licensed Access’ on 9th June 2005, to act on behalf of our clients on 40 separate occasions, again with a high success rate.
The consultants employed by the company are highly trained retired police traffic patrol officers who are able to use their individual experience and expertise gained from their time spent in the police to the benefit of their clients and the industry. At present they have 329 regular clients with a database of 450 clients where they have provided advice and support, TMC has provided expert testimony and reports for 121 firms of solicitors. TMC have also been contracted to Croners to provide answers to specialist transport inquiries for their clients.
TMC are the only transport consultants within the United Kingdom that have been granted by the Bar Council ‘Licensed Access’ to barristers. In addition they are members of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses, the Society of Expert Witnesses, Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics, the Society of Operational Engineers, the Institute of Transport Engineers, the Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators, the Institute of Transport Administrators, the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators, the Institute of Highways Incorporate Engineers and the Institute of Advance Motorist.
