L.W. Miller Transportation began business in 1982. Since then it has grown into an organization of 200 power units that include refrigerated pneumatic tanker and livestock transportation. In addition to the transportation portion of the business L.W. Miller Companies holdings include an L.W.'s Truck Stop L.W. Miller Truck and Trailer Repair and two Transport Diesel Service Inc. locations. A recent article in Utah Business magazine listed L. W. Miller Transportation number fifty-three in the top one hundred businesses in the state of Utah.

We pride ourselves on our ability to meet customer needs. We are a core carrier for Schreiber Cheese and have been doing business with them for fifteen years. Our service standard for them over the years has been exceptional. The most recent report shows 2715 loads with a 98.12% service rating for the last quarter. Our Livestock Division is one of the largest in the nation hauling between forty and fifty thousand head a week. The Tanker Division has hauled over six thousand loads over the last year with a 98%+ on time delivery rating.

We rely on long-term relationships with our clients for our success. We choose to deal with a few select clients and concentrate on their needs. Our customers include Wal-Mart Albertson's Con-Agra/Swift Schreiber Cheese Dairy Farmers of America and Simplot Potatoes. We also provide service for many of the top fifty chemical companies in the world. Our customer list includes Ashland Chemical Huntsman Dow WD-40 Univar USA and many more.

The national average for driver turnover is in excess of 115%. L.W. Miller enjoys an unusually low turnover rate. This is due dispatchers that respect drivers high quality and well-maintained equipment and driver friendly schedules. These factors combine to provide our customers with experienced drivers available to fulfill their needs at any given moment.

L. W. Miller has won numerous safety awards. We pride ourselves on having the safest drivers and equipment on the highways. Our drivers receive an additional one-cent per mile per calendar quarter for every mile they drive if they meet the safety bonus standards. As a result we payout over sixty thousand dollars a year in safety bonuses.

Our sister companies Transport Diesel Service Inc. and L.W. Miller Truck and Trailer Repair are full service diesel truck and trailer repair facilities. Each of these facilities operates on a 24/7 schedule. In addition we have fully equipped service trucks that provide 24-hour roadside repair service along the Wasatch Front.
