Founded in 1991, Dettling Yacht Company was carefully conceived to bring together the talents and skills of a group of artisans highly trained in fine yacht construction. Many of these craftsmen came to the company with years of experience with some of the industry's most venerable yacht builders.
In 2000 the company purchased a large tract of land at the head of the Choptank River on the eastern shore of Maryland and built a modern, state-of-the-art plant to accomodate the construction of larger yachts.
Our credo is simply to build classic yachts which are without compromise in any discipline. Years of cruising experience have contributed to design, construction, and execution, resulting in the creation of truly unique yachts which reflect a synthesis of the best elements of classic style and modern technology.
