The East Hampton Village Ambulance Association was founded as an Association by the Village of East Hampton in 1975. Prior to our formation the Village of East Hampton provided services to the community through a loosely organized group of people with little or no formal training. We presently have 41 members including one paramedic as well as EMT-B's and EMT-CC's. We responded to over 1100 calls in 2004 and expect to total aprox. the same amount for 2005. The East Hampton Village Ambulance Association is the busiest squad on the South Fork of Long Island, New York. We utilize on-call (not in-house), squads at night.

We presently operate three New York State ALS Certified Type III Horton Ambulances. One was purchased in 2000, a second in 2002 and the other in 1996. All ambulances are diesel powered Fords. Additionally, we have a fully equipped First Response unit, a 2003 4wd Chevrolet Tahoe.
