Ashland Ambulance Service is a small rural town service covering 6 surrounding communities and 105 unorganized townships covering 2850sq. miles. The largest coverage area by any service in Maine. This service has 2 fully stocked ALS ambulances and is licensed at the Basic level but permitted to the Paramedic level.
The service provides 24 hour service with 2 full time paramedics and a roster of 33 dedicated volunteers including, 8 paramedics,5 intermediates, 11 basics, 3 first responders, and 6 CPR trained drivers.
We hold monthly meetings with CEH's offered in a variety of areas, we also have 2 CPR instructors , and 3 Level 1 EMS Instructors. We have snowmobile and cold water rescue capabilities with all the latest and up to date equipment.
