Air Life of Oregon

Every second counts in a medical emergency. No one knows that better than the flight crew at Air Life of Oregon, an emergency air ambulance service that covers 100,000 square miles in Oregon. With bases in Bend and La Grande, Air Life is ready to respond at a moment’s notice—24 hours a day, every day.

Air Life averages more than three lifesaving missions each day, carrying seriously ill or injured residents to the nearest appropriate medical facility. Since its inception in 1985, Air Life has flown more than 12,500 missions. Currently, Air Life flies a American Eurocopter EC-145 helicopter and three Pilatus PC-12 fixed-wing airplanes. In addition to a full-time pilot, a critical care nurse and a respiratory therapist with advanced training in heart, trauma and emergency care are aboard each flight. A perinatal nurse is also available for expectant mothers and newborns.
