Booking out a Shopmobility Wheelchair
Everyone taking one of our vehicles needs to produce two current pieces of identification, one of which must show both their name and address. Without this information we are not insured to issue a vehicle.

Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with using a powered vehicle, a member of staff will show you how it works. When you're ready - away you go!

"Out of hours" Shopmobility Service at the Information Desk
When the Shopmobility Office is closed, and Queensgate Stores are open, for example Thursday late nights or Sundays, the Information Desk can provide customers with hand-push wheelchairs (non electric chairs).

Customers should note that getting to the Information Desk involves a walk into the centre. To avoid the walk, when using the "out of hours" service, shopping companions may wish to first collect the wheelchair and then return to meet the Shopmobility user.

If shopping independently, Shopmobility users can always be met at the car park or bus station by prior arrangement.

How much does it cost?
There is no charge for using any of the vehicles, however, the scheme does need all the help you can give to meet its running costs, so any donation you can make will be very welcome. Peterborough Shopmobility is a registered charity and does not charge for either membership or the use of our service, being dependent on voluntary contributions to enable us to buy and maintain our equipment.
