Alstom to supply 8 additional Citadis trams for Dublin

Ireland’s Railway Procurement agency (RPA) has notified Alstom of an order for 8 more Citadis trams for Dublin’s light rail system, LUAS, in an order worth over 21 million euros. With this order the RPA exercises an option laid out in an agreement made in March 2007.

Alstom and IED to award “Open Tram” project developed by Rome’s IED students

Alstom and IED-Istituto Europeo di Design, have announced the winner of the design contest “Destination 2018 – Urban Transport of the Future, between reality and imagination: a tramway for Milan, Turin and Rome”: it is “Open Tram”, the project developed by the students of IED Rome’s school.

Casablanca - Trade Ministers of Morocco and France visit Alstom

During the opening of the France Expo exhibition in Casablanca, in which Alstom participated from 12-15 November, Philippe Delleur, Alstom Senior Vice President Southern Europe-Africa-Middle East, discussed Alstom's tramway and very high-speed train expertise with Mr Abdellatif Maazouz, Trade Minister in Morocco and Anne-Marie, French Minister of Foreign Trade.

Southern suburbs of Tunis welcome their new tramway

In Tunis, Alstom has just completed the extension of the southern tramway line extension. On 12 November 2008, the tram line branch that serves El Mourouj, a southern suburb of Tunis, was put into service by Transtu, the passenger transport operator for the Tunis metropolitan area.
